A conversation whose deal was deleted repairs its own CRM link instead of writing into nothing.
Deleting a deal no longer orphans the conversation
Fix. Every WhatsApp conversation is bound to one Bitrix24 record — usually the deal or lead it was last worked from. That binding is what the CRM tag on the chat points at, what the assignee and stage controls act on, and where the chat notes are written.
Deleting that deal in Bitrix24 left the binding pointing at a record that no longer existed. The chat kept showing the old tag, the assignee and stage in the chat header went blank — and, invisibly, every chat note from then on was addressed to the deleted deal and reached nothing at all, instead of falling back to the contact.
The binding now repairs itself. When the app reads the record it is bound to and finds it missing, it confirms the record really was deleted rather than merely unreadable at that moment, drops the stale binding, and re-matches the conversation the same way an incoming conversation is matched: an open deal first, then an open lead, then the contact. The message that discovered the deletion is written to the CRM too, so no history is lost in between.
Nothing to switch on, and no effect on conversations whose records still exist. A record you simply do not have permission to read is never mistaken for a deleted one.
