CRM timeline comments are no longer doubled for replies sent from the Open Channel, a new option writes each message on the conversation's record only, sent messages are credited to the operator who wrote them, and a linked conversation can be moved to another record from WASync Chat.

No more doubled timeline comments

Fixed. A reply sent from the Open Channel chat was written to the CRM timeline twice: once when it was sent, and once more when WhatsApp echoed the same message back. A message WhatsApp delivered twice could do the same. Both copies are now ignored; a message typed on the phone or in WhatsApp Web is still logged once, as before.

One comment per message, on the conversation's record

New option. Until now every WhatsApp message was logged on every lead, deal, contact and company that carries the customer's number, which on a busy workspace can mean three or four copies of the same comment.

Settings → Log WhatsApp messages in the CRM timeline gains a second checkbox, Write the comment only on the conversation's record. With it on, WASync writes one comment per message, on the record the conversation is linked to: the open deal or lead, otherwise the contact. With "Each number creates its own lead" on, that is the record of the number the message went through. The default is unchanged.

Sent messages are credited to the operator

Changed. Bitrix24 credits a timeline comment to the user whose authorisation wrote it, and ignores any author we pass, so every comment used to appear under the person who installed WASync, and "last activity" on a record always showed that person.

For messages sent by an operator, from the Open Channel chat, WASync Chat or the WhatsApp tab in the CRM, the comment is now written with that operator's own authorisation, so Bitrix24 shows them as the author. This works for everyone who has opened WASync at least once; otherwise, and for every received message, robot send and automation, the comment is written by the application's user as before. If you want that user to be a dedicated service account, create it as a portal administrator and open WASync once with it.

Move a conversation to another record

New. In WASync Chat, a conversation that is already linked to a lead or a deal gets a Change record button next to the responsible person. It opens the same search as "Link to record"; pick the lead, deal or contact, confirm, and the conversation moves. Only WASync's link changes: the old record keeps its history and nothing in Bitrix24 is edited. New messages are logged on the new record. With "Each number creates its own lead" on, the link of that number is replaced too, and the target must be a lead or a deal.
