Can the MCP send files, or only text?
Files too: the send_whatsapp_file tool takes a public https URL (preferred) or a base64 file up to 5 MB, with a name, a type and an optional caption.

The MCP server exposes send_whatsapp_file next to the text tool: the agent passes a public https URL (preferred, any reasonable size) or the file itself in base64 up to 5 MB, plus a file name, the type and an optional caption, and the file goes out from an authorised number like a text message, with the same permissions, audit and limits. URLs are fetched with strict checks (https only, public hosts only). Larger media goes through the REST API.
