How do I insert a step between two steps that are already connected?
Hover the line between the two steps and press the "+" that appears; the new step is wired in automatically.
Hover the connecting line between the two steps. A + appears on the line; press it, pick the step type, and the new step is inserted with the connections rewired: the first step now leads to the new one, and the new one leads to the step that followed. Nothing has to be dragged or reconnected by hand.
