The customer writes to number X (from an ad) but already has a deal on another number. I want a separate lead per number.
Turn on "Each number creates its own lead" in Chat rules → New chats from unknown numbers; the record then belongs to the conversation on that number.
Turn on Each number creates its own lead in Settings → Chat rules → New chats from unknown numbers. The setting is portal-wide and applies to all your WhatsApp numbers. From then on the record of a conversation is kept per number: a customer who writes to number X gets X's lead, even if the same person has a deal from number Y, and flows that create records at enrolment follow the same rule.
The reverse is also true, by design: one customer handled on two of your numbers has two leads. If you want one customer to be one record across all numbers, leave the setting off.
