WhatsApp groups
The Groups Bridge mirrors the WhatsApp groups a QR number is in into Bitrix24 group chats — members stay on WhatsApp, your team reads and replies from Bitrix24.
On a QR number, WASync can mirror every WhatsApp group the number belongs to into a Bitrix24 group chat. Group members keep using WhatsApp; your team follows and answers from Bitrix24. Business API numbers do not take part in WhatsApp groups, so the bridge is QR-only.
Turning it on
Connections → the number → Edit → WhatsApp Groups Bridge. From then on, the first message in each group creates a Bitrix24 group chat named after the WhatsApp group, through WASync's supervisor bot, with the members of the number's Open Channel queue as participants. Groups the number joins later are added the same way, at their first message.
What is mirrored
- Incoming messages, posted by the bot as
Sender: text, where the sender is the member's WhatsApp name and phone; your own number's messages typed on the phone appear asME. - Media: images, audio, video and documents are uploaded into the Bitrix24 chat with the sender in the same message; older portals fall back to a file plus a separate line.
- Edits and deletions in the group: a note in the Bitrix24 group chat, never a separate one-to-one conversation.
- Replies from Bitrix24: a message or file written in the group chat is sent to the WhatsApp group from the number, and appears there as the business.
Group messages are kept apart from one-to-one conversations: they do not create leads, do not start Chat Flows, and are not listed in WASync Chat's inbox. WhatsApp group calls are not bridged.
