Late delivery failures reach the Open Channel, and Click-to-WhatsApp attribution always reaches the deal.
Late delivery failures reach the Open Channel
Fix. On the official WhatsApp Business API, a message sent outside the 24-hour window is accepted by Meta and fails a few seconds later, in a separate delivery status. Bitrix24 had already marked the message as sent, and the connector API offers no way to change that, so the operator believed the customer received it. The CRM widget showed the error; the Open Channel showed nothing.
Every such late failure now posts a note into the same Open Channel dialog, once per message, in the portal's language. For the 24-hour case the note reads: This message was not delivered: the 24-hour window with this customer has closed. To reach them again, send an approved template. Other Meta error codes get the reason in plain words, with the code in parentheses.
The note respects the portal's Open Channel mirroring switch and is never posted twice when Meta retries the webhook.
Ad attribution always reaches the deal
Fix. Bitrix24 creates the contact when a conversation opens and the deal a little later. When the deal arrived more than about 30 seconds after the ad referral, the campaign data was written to the contact only and the deal stayed empty. The lookup now keeps waiting for the deal for up to five minutes, and an hourly pass copies the attribution from the contact onto any deal created in the last 48 hours that came too late. Nothing is lost: the contact always has it, and the deal inherits it within an hour at most.
