What's new, 21 October 2026: A customer who sends several messages before the bot's first reply no longer gets the opening sequence of a Chat Flow twice

Changelog

18 October 2026

A "What's new" list inside the app with an unread dot, Chat Flows can start only for customers who never wrote to you, flows no longer create a second lead for a customer with an open lead or deal, records created by a flow follow your "new chats" rule, a flow can choose the CRM source of the record it creates, and the editor gets "Find a step" and highlighted connection lines.

What's new, inside the app

New. The sidebar of the WASync app in Bitrix24 has a What's new entry. It opens the list of product releases, newest first, each with a version such as 2026.10.18, the date, and a few lines on what changed, with a Learn more link to the matching page here when a change needs more than a sentence.

A small dot on the entry means there are releases you have not opened yet; it disappears when you open the list, separately for each person. Entries that only an administrator can act on (a Chat rules setting, for example) are shown to administrators only. The list is translated into every language the app offers.

The sidebar entry. The dot goes away once you open the list.

Version numbers are dates: 2026.10.18 is the release of 18 October 2026, the same date as this page. A second release on the same day would be 2026.10.18.2. Nothing on your side needs an update; the app is always the current version.

Choose the source of the record a flow creates

New. In the Start card's When it starts section, lead and deal flows now have a Source selector listing your CRM sources. The chosen source is written on the contact, lead or deal the flow creates, so a flow can, for example, leave the source on a placeholder such as "not selected" for your team to fill in later, or stamp a campaign source of its own.

The default, Automatic, keeps today's behaviour: the record takes the source of the WhatsApp Open Channel it came through. Nothing changes on existing flows until you pick a source. A record the flow reuses instead of creating keeps its own source.

The Source selector on the Start card. Automatic keeps the WhatsApp line's source.

Only customers who never wrote to you before

New. The Customer writes first trigger has a new option, Only customers who never wrote to you before. With it on, the flow skips any phone number that has ever exchanged a message with one of your WhatsApp numbers in WASync, on this number or another, in either direction. An existing customer who writes again gets no greeting and no new record; the message simply reaches your team.

Off by default on every existing flow, so nothing changes until you switch it on in the trigger panel (Start card → Change when it starts). Note that the option used to be implied by the trigger's description, The first message from a new contact, while the flow actually started for anyone when no other rule held it back; the description now says Any message that starts a conversation.

The audience switch in the trigger panel. Off by default on every existing flow.

No second lead for a customer you are already working

Fixed. A lead flow that creates its record when it starts used to add a new lead even when the customer's contact already had an open lead or deal. The flow now binds to that open record instead (an open lead as a lead, an open deal as a deal) and creates a lead only when there is none. This is the same rule the "new chats from unknown numbers" lead follows, and the mirror of what deal flows already did with an open deal in their pipeline.

What a lead flow does with the record when it starts. The first match wins.

Records created by a flow follow your "new chats" rule

Fixed. A contact, lead or deal created by a flow when it started was owned by the person who installed WASync, because Bitrix24 assigns a record to the app's user when no responsible is given. With an Open Channel that routes to the CRM responsible, that person then received every conversation of that customer. Flow-created records now take the responsible from the same New chats from unknown numbers rule in Chat rules (a fixed person or round-robin); with the rule off, nothing changes.

Find a step, and lines that light up

New, in the flow editor. A Find a step box in the top bar searches every step by name, message text, question options and keywords, branch names, assignee and step type. Enter jumps to the next match and Shift+Enter to the previous one; the card is selected, centred and flashes for a moment. Ctrl+F (⌘F on a Mac) while on the canvas focuses the box.

When a step is selected, its incoming and outgoing lines turn green and come to the front while the other lines fade, so a long connection can be followed on a large canvas.
